Lots of exciting things are happening for Amy Long Photography! I hope to have the new website up and running soon! I will also have a new blog, but you should still be able to access this one if you want to link to one of the photos. I am also in the process of trying to set up a studio space, but the details are not in place yet. I will keep you posted as this develops. I'm creating a facebook fan page and I hope you will all join, I will try to advertise specials that way and might even have a few prizes here and there. Thanks to all those who have been so supportive throughout this process.

Happy Father's Day
For another wonderful dad I know, I wanted to post a picture of his favorite hobby. I had to take a picture to print for an art auction and since I have a few guitars lying around, I thought they would make good subjects. I'm sure lots of women out there say it, but I really mean it when I say I have the greatest husband in the world. His support for me in the last year has been monumental and I have needed it. He is such a great father to our son, that nothing I can write here would do it justice. Thank you Nathan, you're my favorite person. ;-)

Sweet Little River
I think River could start a career as a Gerber model. I was so thrilled to take pictures for my buddy Kristi today. She is so far away now and we don't get to see each other often. This was the first time I have met her sweet baby and he is a doll!! We took about 20 shots like this and all 20 are adorable. I don't know how you're going to pick Kristi. :)
We also did some family shots with cousins at Grandma's house, which I will post soon. What can I say, the whole family is beautiful. Thanks guys! I enjoyed our day!

Ritter Agribusiness
My husband is a farmer, so when I found out that Ritter Agribusiness decided to hire me for a shoot I was ecstatic! I love our farm and anything related to agriculture. This shoot really gave me a chance to prove it. These shots run the gamut and we have only finished the first day. I had a great time and worked with some great people, including my sister-in-law (thank you very much Anna!).
In order to get the shot of the fertilizer applicator in action, I had to stand directly behind it and wait for him to start. It's a good thing I didn't know what was coming. Let me just say, if you ever decide to stand behind one of those things, make sure your mouth is closed. I think getting pelted with urea pellets tops the list of crazy things I've done to get a picture. More to come later...

Hot Off the Press!
I finally got around to making some business cards and I'm really happy with the results. The top picture shows the outside and inside view. The bottom picture is of two stickers I designed for my print packaging. If anyone is interested in custom designed business cards or other press materials, contact me for a quote. Thanks!
Nate
Rare footage of Nate on the guitar. I made him pose for me so I could practice a "Gap" look. (Playing Bachianinha #1 by Paulinho Nogueira. ;-)
